After nine days of intense work, the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny unveiled the winners of the 12th edition of the Idiap Create Challenge (ICC). This artificial intelligence hackathon brought together engineers, including EPFL graduates, and creatives from various countries eager to turn their ideas into functional prototypes with the help of the Martigny-based institute. In the end, the team Sigmapulse, consisting of Paul Margain, Matthieu Saussaye, and Dina El Zein, emerged as the winners of the 2023 edition. Their project aims to use artificial intelligence to place candidates at the heart of the recruitment process. How? By eliminating the need to write a standard cover letter, thanks to the possibility of directly having an interview with an artificial intelligence and being assessed without bias.
